WorldSkills Shanghai — 2026

WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 — the 48th World Skills Competition — will be held on 22–27 September 2026 in Shanghai, China. It is the largest event in the WorldSkills International system, with competitors from over 85 countries. The Uzbekistan national team is preparing across 16 skills. Preparation runs in stages: selection through regional and national championships, dedicated training programmes, and expert capacity building on the international assessment system.

TurkicSkills — 2025

TurkicSkills is a skills championship among the Turkic states. In 2025 Uzbekistan fielded nine competitors — six from Samarkand region, two from Bukhara and one from Fergana. The team returned with a 2nd place and a Medallion for Excellence. The championship helps align the vocational education systems of Turkic-speaking countries and shape common qualification requirements.

The Rail Vehicle Technology Training Camp is an international training-and-competition camp in rail rolling stock maintenance. In 2025 Uzbekistan was represented by two competitors from Samarkand region, who took 2nd place. The camp format lets competitors run practical modules under international experts and study the WorldSkills assessment criteria in depth.

The IEK international championship — “Integration. Eurasia. Competencies” — was held on 1–2 April 2025 in Novosibirsk, Russia. Uzbekistan was represented by a competitor from Samarkand region who took 2nd place in Electrical Installations. The championship serves as a platform for exchanging experience between vocational institutions across the Eurasian region and for testing common assessment standards.

Eurasian Championship — 2022

The Eurasian Skills Championship took place on 8–12 September 2022 in Moscow and Saransk, Russia. Team Uzbekistan competed in seven skills: Beauty Therapy, Fashion Technology, Confectionery, Hairdressing (two competitors), Welding and Electrical Installations. The competitors came from the monocentres of Jizzakh, Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara and from the Tashkent vocational training centre, and took 3rd place in every skill.
